OCCIDENTAL LOUNGE & GUEST HOUSE

This project evolved out of the clients' desire to transform their suburban-like dwelling into the desired country retreat. The home’s original orientation had a large garage that dominated the approach. We transformed the garage into 4 living zones (kids’ area, guest nook, music, and lounge) to work both independently and collectively for the family and numerous weekend guests. Across the adjacent courtyard, identical flooring materials flow seamlessly from the main living space to the new pool house and guest quarters, enhancing the experience of indoor-outdoor living.
